Join us for this year’s Holiday Weekend in Columbia, South Carolina. All of our activities will be centralized within a couple of blocks of downtown Columbia. Park your car once and you will be able to walk to all of our activities, restaurants, bars, as well as some boutique shopping in the area.

When you arrive on Friday, we will have a casual gathering that evening at The Joint @ 1710 Main, a Jazz and Tapas Bar near the hotel.  The Joint is crafted after traditional Jazz halls that were popular in the 1940’s. The venue provides a warm/rustic setting for everyone to enjoy their cuisine, craft cocktails and unequaled live jazz and blues entertainment.

On Saturday at 11:00 am, we have arranged a special guided tour of the Columbia Museum of Art. The cost will be $10 per person. The Museum is rated 4.5 by TripAdvisor and is listed in the top ten things to do in Columbia.  It is described as an intimate museum with temporary exhibits and diverse collections within the permanent collections. You will be able to go to lunch after the tour, and then return to spend more time enjoying the exhibits if you wish or you can enjoy the remainder of the day on your own in Columbia.

We have reserved the entire Hampton Street Vineyard Restaurant for our Saturday evening dinner. Hampton Street Vineyard (HSV) has been Columbia’s premier destination for fine wine, outstanding food, and warm hospitality. The restaurant pays homage to its home in downtown Columbia’s historic Sylvan Building with French-inflected cuisine. HSV is the Recipient of the Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence.

Dress up in your Holiday finery and join us for a social hour at 5:30 pm, where we will be served canapes while                       you catch up with other members of our Section.  A cash bar with delicious cocktails, wine choices, and other                         beverages will also be available. After we are seated for dinner, you will select your meal from the menu.                                 There will be a choice of two appetizers - moules frites (mussels) or a seasonal soup. Your entree choices will                       be pork crepinettes, delicious roasted chicken with honey-thyme jus, or grilled salmon with lemon beurre blanc,                     accompanied by select vegetables. We will finish the meal either creme brulee with champagne chantilly or                             chocolate hazelnut crunch bar. The price per person for this delectable food experience is $85, including tip                           and taxes.

We were very fortunate to arrange a block of rooms set aside at the unique 41 room boutique Hotel Trundle for $149.00 per night, plus taxes and fees.  Hotel Trundle has been rated one of the best 10 historic hotels in the U.S. for 2021 by USA Today!

Included with this rate is a complimentary locally crafted beer or glass of wine at check-in, and a select breakfast served daily. Hotel Trundle has been rated a 5 out of 5 by TripAdvisor. There is a $14 per day valet parking fee in their designated area. However, once you park, you shouldn’t have to go back to your car until you are ready to leave on Sunday morning.  Note: there is a cancellation fee for the hotel.
